Lazyblink tools process files entirely within your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly libraries. When you upload a PDF, image, or any file to a Lazyblink tool, that file is loaded into your browser's memory. All processing — compression, conversion, editing, analysis — happens on your device. The file is never transmitted to our servers.
This architecture is intentional. We built it this way because we believe your personal and professional documents should stay on your device. Whether you are editing a contract, compressing a medical report, or resizing a photo, that content is yours and ours to see.
We do not collect: Your files, documents, or the content you process. Your name, email, or any personal identifiers (no account creation required). Your file names or metadata.
We may collect via third-party services: Anonymous page view statistics (via Google Analytics) — pages visited, time on page, browser type, country. This data is aggregated and contains no personally identifiable information. We use it to understand which tools are popular so we can improve them.
We use only essential technical cookies required for the website to function, and analytics cookies from Google Analytics (which you can block using browser extensions like uBlock Origin). We do not use advertising tracking cookies or cross-site tracking.
Lazyblink displays non-intrusive display ads to cover operating costs. These ads are served by Google AdSense. Google may use anonymised browsing data to show contextual ads. We do not sell or share any personal data with advertisers. Ad personalisation can be managed at adssettings.google.com.
Our tools use open-source JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, sharp.wasm, etc.) that run in your browser. These libraries do not make network requests with your data. You can verify this using your browser's Developer Tools Network tab while using any tool.
Since we do not collect your files or personal data, there is nothing for us to retain. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google Analytics per their standard retention policy (26 months).
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and GDPR (for EU visitors), you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold. Since we do not collect personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. For questions, contact us at privacy@lazyblink.com.
We will update this page if our privacy practices change. The date at the top reflects the last revision.
